Monitoring Visit of State Adaptive Trials at West Jaintia Hills

        One day monitoring visit of adaptive trials of newly developed promising lines was undertaken at Jowai, West Jaintia Hills on the 5th November, 2024. The monitoring visit was coordinated by Dr. Amit Kumar, Sr. Scientist (Plant Breeding), Dr. Letngam Touthang, Sr. Scientist (Plant Breeding) and Dr. Philanim Scientist (Plant Breeding). The purpose of the visit was to identify and select superior entries in participatory mode. The trials in second year comprises of paddy 7 nos. of lines, maize 2 nos. of lines, soybean 6 nos. of lines, finger millet 5 nos. of lines and perilla 5 nos. of lines. While 5 promising lines of paddy were in first year trial. The team was satisfied with the performance of entries and scientifically execution of the trial by team of Research Station, Jowai, government of Meghalaya.
